"We travelled throughout the South Island during the month of November, stayed at numerous B&B's and self accommodation apts/hotels. This was our 1st stop after a couple of nights in Wellington. What a sensational set up, you're on the road where you have access to the Queen Charlotte track. The room has stunning views of the water and it's own private deck. We particularly liked stepping into the hot tub, on the outer upper deck, nestled in the trees, over-looking the water. A great way to relax after a day of tramping. Jackie and Kerry are both excellent hosts - the breakfast each day was superb and we thoroughly enjoyed an in-house dinner with them. The food and company was excellent! This place was the highlight of our trip. Strongly recommend that you try it. When we go back to NZ again, we will booking there again." Cheers Dave and Lucy

 "We travelled to NZ in our honeymoon. And this B&B stay was one of the best. Place was exactly as we imagined it - nice and romantic! Location around B&B is very beautiful and near Queen Charlotte track.
Hosts Jackie and Kerry are very hospitable and dinner was delicious! Before we travelled to NZ we saw National Geographic programme about NZ and its' kitchen, especially NZ special food-paua. We wanted to try it but nowhere in NZ we could find it. Even in good restaurants. Jackie agreed to make it for us with some other sea food (just caught) and it was awesome :-)! Thank you, Jackie!

"This beautiful modern house overlooks the Sounds, (hence the name) where the scenery is always changing. Perched on high, the views are gorgeous especially for a Townie like me. I cannot recommend the service I received from my 2 hosts Jackie and Kerry too highly! The food was excellent with all fresh ingredients from their sloping veggie plot or from the sea below!
I was taken on their speedy motor boat to do some scallop-dredging and muscle-collecting for the day, stopping only for a picnic on one of the islands. Another day Kerry escorted me on part of the Queen Charlotte Trail nearby. It can be hilly, but worth it when you reach the top. My stay couldn't have been better! They're good company too."

Directions:

From Blenheim follow State Highway 6 towards Nelson. Just before Havelock turn right into Queen Charlotte Drive, follow the drive through to Linkwater and just past the Challenge Gas Station, turn left into Kenepuru Road. We are 5 minutes up that road.  4.91 km's

From Picton take the very scenic route along Queen Charlotte Drive (22km's.) until just before Linkwater turn right into Kenepuru Rd.    From the turnoff we are just 5 km's.

From Nelson it's exactly 100 km's and takes 1 hr 10, head along Highway 6 towards Blenheim and turn off into Queen Charlotte Drive just after Havelock. Then follow above directions.
