We are 45 minutes drive from Blenheim, 35 minutes from Picton and 1 hour 20 to Nelson. So you can see, we are very central to all areas. The closest supermarket is at Havelock, it's not that big and closes at 6.00pm.

This season it has come to  my attention that many guests are finding out about the Apex Rental car deal, they are the only ones I have heard of that allow you to pick up a rental car in the North Island and take it on the ferry to do the South Island and vice versa. It saves all the hassle of unloading your car at the ferry. They even pay for the car crossing. That saves you about $200 one way.
